Greetings friends of photography lovers,
Right across the street from my godmother's house lives a neighbor who has a sunflower plant on the sidewalk, it was in bloom, some of its flowers were huge. I was able to take some pictures and then I noticed that several bees arrived to taste their nectar. I didn't want to get too close to avoid getting stung. I tried to do my best with the macros, but the wind was against me. Many shots were blurry, so I had to take a good look at them and make my best selection to get a good gallery.
My godmother told me that in each flower there was a bee, at first it was like that, but then more and more were arriving, each flower harbored up to four of these insects. I asked her if she knew how the pollination process took place and she told me that she did not. I explained that when the bees land on the flower they are impregnated with pollen all over their bodies and carry it to another flower. Right there the fertilization takes place and thanks to this the reproduction of the plants is possible, therefore the life in the plant. How important are the bees, they have the highest percentage of responsibility for pollination, followed by other species, such as butterflies, birds and other insects.
I was there for quite a while, trying to dodge the bugs while capturing their best poses.
