Introduce:
Hola a todos, soy Humansleep. En esta ocasión quiero publicar mi trabajo en la comunidad Alien Art Hive. Y aquí también compartiré el proceso de trabajo, ya sea dibujo o boceto.
Yoo homie... In this installment, I’m also going to share and talk a little bit about a piece I created last July. This piece is also part of the Abera Zine comic, which has the theme “Corruption.” I worked on it with some fellow illustrators.
Disclaimer:
This work is an expression of my sarcasm, satire, criticism, and disgust toward a corrupt government and national leaders who treat their people arbitrarily or as they please, solely for their own personal gain and interests.
Mr. Poogre Fat's
El Fantasma Del Terreno Baldío.
Mr. Poogre Fat's.
Among the many tales that are far older than the civilizations that know them, there is an ancient myth about a figure whose name is still often mentioned from one place to another.
His name is Mr. Poogre Fat's.
He is the most evil and insatiable entity of darkness from an ancient mythology that dates back many centuries. In addition, he is a being who wields power over his own universe—the Ghumlaagonid.
Not many people know exactly how he came to hold that power. Some ancient records state that he has indeed existed since the very beginning of the Ghumlaagonid dynasty.
Meanwhile, another account states that he merely discovered a realm that had been abandoned by the previous ruler and then claimed it as his own.
No one really knows which is true. But one thing is certain: after Mr. Poogre Fat's came to power, there was almost nothing that escaped his desire to possess it.
It has a massive, giant-like body, short legs, is ugly and fat, has large eyes, and emits a body odor like a septic tank that hasn’t been cleaned in a long time; its breath smells like rancid palm oil or resembles the smell of an illegally cleared plot of land.
Even so, strangely enough, Mr. Poogre Fat's wasn't bothered by the smell at all. In fact, according to some accounts, he considered it the scent of greatness.
According to several stories that are often told throughout the universe, Mr. Poogre Fat’s is known as the ghost of the vacant lot. He lives in a sacred cave filled with carcasses, which is also where he stores all kinds of items he has looted.
No one knows how many items he has collected. Some of them are valuable. Some of them are worthless. And there are even items that he himself doesn’t know what to use them for. Yet he keeps them all.
Because for Mr. Poogre Fat's, owning something is far more important than needing it. The more objects that fill his cave, the greater his desire to find something else.
If he finds a vacant plot of land, he wants it. If that land is already his, he wants the plot next to it. If he has taken control of all the land around him, he’ll start setting his sights on areas farther away. And once the entire landmass belongs to him... he might start calculating how much of the sky he hasn’t yet conquered.
It is said that Mr. Poogre Fat’s never actually built his own kingdom. He simply took something that already existed and claimed it as his own. Then he would stand atop it, declaring that everything beneath his feet was part of his glory.
That was how the Ghumlaagonid people knew their ruler. Not as a wise king. Nor as a beloved leader. But as someone who was never satisfied.
There is an old passage that was once found in the historical records of the Ghumlaagonids:
“If you give him one plot of land, he’ll ask for two. If you give him two, he’ll go after three. And once all the land belongs to him, he’ll start counting the sky.”
However, Mr. Poogre Fat’s greed did not stop at land and possessions. He also had a habit of collecting anything he believed would increase his power.
He gathered items from faraway places. He collected treasures from lands he had never settled. He stored things he had never even used. Everything was simply piled up inside the cave.
Over time, these items began to mix with dust, mud, animal carcasses, and other objects whose origins are no longer known.
His cave was getting more and more crowded. But Mr. Poogre Fat's never threw anything away. When asked why he kept so many useless things, he simply replied, “Because they're mine.”
There’s no other reason. No one knows what he really needs. Because every time he’s asked, his answer is always the same: it’s not enough.
In Ghumlaagonid, there is even a story about an object he once brought back from a distant land.
That object actually has no value. It can’t be used. It can’t be sold. It doesn’t even have a clear purpose.
But since the object hadn't belonged to him before, Mr. Poogre Fat's felt that it should be his.
He took it home. He kept it in a cave. And he never touched it again. It eventually rotted away along with hundreds of other objects that met the same fate.
Strangely enough, he still felt like a winner. Because, to him... something that had already been taken no longer needed to serve a purpose.
Mr. Poogre Fat's also has another habit that has become a legend in its own right. He is very fond of titles. The longer the title, the more he likes it.
He once referred to himself as the ruler of the Ghumlaagonid, the guardian of the empty land, the owner of the sacred cave, the collector of all things, and various other titles, most of which were not even understood by the inhabitants of that universe.
However, the people of Ghumlaagonid know him by only one name: Mr. Poogre Fat's. It’s a simple name. But it’s enough to make some people turn and walk away when they hear it.
And of course, it features the most iconic starter pack items: the Kupiah, the Kupluk, or the Legend Helmet.
No one knows why those three items are always considered part of her look.
Several ancient reliefs depict Mr. Poogre Fat's wearing one of them while sitting atop a pile of skulls.
Some old paintings even depict all three of them together.
Ghumlaagonid researchers are still debating whether the artifact has a specific symbolic meaning or is actually just an object he picked up from somewhere else.
However, one thing that always appears in every depiction of him is: a monocot (single-seeded plant) on his Totong.
There are no records that explain why that object was considered an important part of his regalia.
But somehow, that thing is always there. And for Mr. Poogre Fat's... it’s part of his identity.
The longer he remained in power, the more stories about him began to circulate.
Some say that he is fluent in Ghumlaagonid.
Some say that Ghumlaagonid is really just a place he happened to stay in for too long.
Some also say that Mr. Poogre Fat’s power was never really as great as he claimed.
But no one was brave enough to prove it.
That’s because Mr. Poogre Fat’s has one ability that far surpasses his physical strength: he can make whatever he holds appear much larger than it actually is.
A pile of goods is called wealth. Empty land is called a territory. A cave full of plunder is called a palace. And the pile of skulls on which he sits... is called a throne.
Finally, another sentence appeared that is believed to be the closing line of one of the oldest manuscripts about him:
“He had so much that he no longer knew what he actually possessed. Yet he kept taking, because his fear of losing something he might not even need was far greater than any sense of satisfaction he had ever felt.”

Mr. Poogre Fat's Archive:
This section contains some old notes or archived material that I had previously written as a brief account of the story of that fat, ugly, and gluttonous creature.
And to this day, the story of Mr. Poogre Fat's continues to circulate among the ruins of Ghumlaagonid.
The ghost of an empty lot. The ruler of a sacred cave. A collector of things he never uses. The owner of land he never builds on. And a creature who always feels he lacks something... even though the whole world is already in his grasp.
Sitting atop a pile of his loot, wearing a kupiah, a beanie, or a Legend helmet, Mr. Poogre Fat’s remained calmly seated. He stared at something that wasn’t yet his. Then he said, “Who does that belong to, anyway?” 😭😭😭💀
