Facing the main Hannya in a pitch-black arena, I fought off giant hands bursting from the ground. Relying on Fire Elemental Weaves, I exposed and ripped out one of the beast's cores. As the Hannya hid and sent out his spawns, I scrambled for ammo while targeting the remaining heads to force him back out just to die after all the struggle.
Stepping into the pitch-black arena, the final showdown with Hannya began as he called out to Akito, asking why he kept resisting him.
This giant was named Hanngon who looked like a giant worm having three masked heads as its eyes and I had to attack on those heads and bursting out three cores. I started attacking the devil with fire elemental weaves right away.
Before I could even position myself properly, the monster unleashed a heavy dark attack, sending giant, shadowy hands bursting out from the floorboards to grab me.
Realizing how much damage the beast could deal up close, I scrambled backward to create space, keeping my distance while trying to time my counter-attacks.
Remembering that Fire Elemental Weaves worked best against his heavy armor, I switched spells and waited for an opening while avoiding his ground-slamming attacks.
Whenever the boss slammed his jaw onto the ground, it triggered a shockwave that unleashed a swarm of hostile heads across the arena floor. Staying mobile, I focused all my fire magic on a single head, blasting through its defenses until its core was exposed.
I rushed in and ripped the core straight out, destroying that part of the monster for good. The Hannya's rambling grew more unhinged as the fight went on, showing just how completely his tragic past had ruined his mind.
Hurt from losing a core, the main boss backed away into the dark, hiding from direct sight while sending waves of weaker spawns to keep me busy.
I ran around the perimeter of the room, smashing floating objects to collect as many Fire Elemental Weaves as I could carry while fighting those demons that the Hannya sent to weaken me.
Suddenly, Hannya lunged back out from the shadows to prove he was far from beaten. Hoping to lock him in place, I threw down every stun and slowing talisman in my inventory, but the magic just bounced off his form without doing anything.
Realizing my items were useless here, I stopped wasting time on tricks, pulled out my elemental attacks, and went back to targeting the glowing heads to finish the job. But I was taken down when I was so close in taking the devil down.
