Good evening, everyone! I want to share with you that I have agreed to be a clinical instructor, and it was effective today. I was from a night shift then I rendered my service as a Clinical Instructor for the day. So basically I did not rest properly yet.
So to end my day, after @xykorlz's long day too, we decided to eat at Mamastil. They introduce a delicacy from one of our Muslim tribes in the Philippines, especially in Mindanao. It is called pastil.
It is rice topped with shredded chicken, appropriately seasoned with chili, and wrapped in banana leaf. But here in mamastil, they serve it in a modernized way. With your $5, you can buy a meal with side dishes of pickled cucumber, seasoned eggplant, and sambal ( a chili sauce).
Over these foods, Karl and I shared our fair share of struggles at work and waves of laughter. As we were about to go home, we encountered my college bestie, John Dave, who is now married to his husband, Luijie. We were catching up with our experiences, but as time ticked by, they noticed I needed to rest. (It shows in my droopy eyes.)
In the end, my heart and tummy are full.
