Last night, we had an opening reception for our art exhibit Angst Not Dead at Morning Light Art Gallery and Shop. The show had 14 exhibiting young artists from Davao City.
Angst Not Dead aims to show how angst is always present in an artist's work.
The shop is located on the first floor and the gallery space is upstairs. We had a brief introduction and ribbon-cutting downstairs.
I was tasked to write a formal exhibition note but I thought the explanation of our colleague was perfect so I just printed the screenshots instead. Lol. So contemporary. It was okay though, we liked it. XD
I know. A kid's writing pad. Silly, right? :p You'll know who has terrible handwriting as a kid by only looking at this. xD
Just like any other exhibit, it felt like a reunion. There were some I haven't seen in years. There were some I met for the first time. And there's this one guy who everyone almost didn't recognize because he changed a lot. A great change. :D
Then there's this one guy who was kinda shy when sober, but talkative and confident when drunk.
This was him explaining his work. lol.
@spintwister with her painting.
Friends from @steem-ph came to visit as well. They were
@nathansenn,
@chrisrice,
@jancharlest, and others.
And lastly, me and my paintings (the two behind me).
We were grateful for those who came. The exhibit will run from January 8-17, 2020. Great way to start the year! :D
