I used to attend and serve in a church community every Sunday, where I also met friends. One of my co-servants who I became close friends with was A. Aside from serving in the same ministry, we also share the same interest and love towards art and words. But just like everyone else, ever since the pandemic hit, my social engagements lessened. Online communication doesn't work well with me either, so my social skills are kinda dropping as well. lol hahaha
A and I initially talked online constantly, but as the pandemic continued on rolling, at some point, we somehow stopped sharing stories or updating each other about our lives.
We met once last January to look for materials that we were supposed to use for our supposedly business (which never came to life HAHAHAHA). Then recently, we planned on meeting up again. She is from the South while I am from the North, so we agreed on meeting halfway, which is around Pasay. She is more familiar with that area, so I gave her the responsibiity on deciding for a place to go to. Hahaha She suggested Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
It was my first time to go there, but I didn't get lost naman, so yay! The only problem I encountered was that I initially couldn't find the entrance. Hahahah. I arrived there a few minutes earlier than A, so I decided to wait for her at National Book Store. Sakto, she also needed to buy stuff there.
When we were finally together (after she cricled around the mall haha), we looked for a cafe or any spot where we can chill. We couldn't, though. Then A remembered a place she once spotted around the area, so we left the Mall and went on our cafe-searching.
A few minutes into walking, it started drizzling. Good thing I had an umbrella with me! We continued on walking and walking, but several streets and intersections later, we still couldn't find the mystery cafe. Hahaha A hasn't had her lunch yet then, so she suggested we just eat at Pho24 at Double Dragon Plaza.
It was my first time eating at Pho24! Since they didn't have seafood noodles, I ordered chicken instead while A opted for the 3 beef kinds something. I am not a noodle-person, but I actually liked my food. We ordered coffee as well, which was soooo good!! My coffee was black. It tasted super bitter at first, but it slowly tasted sweet after a while! I don't know what beans they used, but it was brewed through the Drip method.
After eating, we walked (again) towards Mall of Asia, mainly to take pictures at Timezone Photobooth. Hahahaha
A's phone died, so we looked for a place where she could charge it, and where we could sit. We conversed endlessly while walking, so there was a point when we didn't know where we were going. Haha. We looked for specific tea house/cafe, but they were closed! It took us a while before we finally settled at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. She ordered tea, while I had Pure Vanilla frappe.
We stayed there for more or less an hour?? I am not really sure. Haha. But after a while, we visited clothing shops to look for a top for A, but we ended up leaving empty-handed. Haha
It was already around 8PM when we decided to call it a day and headed home.
It was a day filled with endlesss talking, sabaw moments, and tons of walking. Hahahah It was fun!
And oh! I wore my Mellow crocheted top that day!
Thank you for reading!
P.S. Some photos in this post were taken by A.
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
