Hiii, everyone!
Soooo, here's the chika about the Day 2 of my Cebu Trip with my friends. If you missed the Day 1 story-telling, you may read it here.
My friends and I spent our 1st night in one of the resorts/beach stays at Lambug Beach, Badian. (Yes! We successfully found our way there after minutes of slight panic and almost-giving-up-on-life moment ahaha jk 1/2).
Morning the next day, my friends got up early and prepared for their Canyoneering adventure! I decided to be left in the resort because I knew in my heart that I wasn't ready to dive into that kind of adventure and adrenaline rush just yet. I think, one day, I will gather the strength and courage to do it, but this just wasn't the time. I didn't want to join them half-hearted, as I knew it would affect the whole experience. Nevertheless, I was super excited and happy for them!
While they went on their adventure, I took myself out on a quiet time with nature and art. I stayed by the beach majority of my alone time in the resort. I only went back to our room to eat and freshen up. It was such a peaceful and humbling moment. I laid my scarf on the sand, listened to the back-and-forth sound of the waves, and breathed in the serenity of the moment. And at one point, I decided to digitally draw the view while listening to my Laufey playlist. It was perfect. There were moments when it suddenly rained and would then be replaced by extreme heat, but the unpredictability and weirdness of the weather didn't even negatively taint that experience. It was such a core memory!
A few hours past lunch time, my friends arrived back in the resort. They just rested and freshened up for a bit and we took pictures by the beach before heading back to the city.
Our car ride back was way better and smoother than our experience the night before. This time, we had more energy to chitchat and even sing along Taylor Swift songs! It was so funny, cute, and fun!
When we reached the city, we headed directly to our hotel. We rested for a few hours because to be honest, we haven't had a good rest just yet (especially my friends!) The lack of sleep was slowly catching on us. Wahaha. But still, our day didn't end there.
We had dinner at Larsian… which apparently isn't like the old Larsian anymore. I knew that it was closed down during the pandemic, but we thought their new location was still the same as before. But turns out, it was like a food park with a few Larsian stores occupying. Hehe
After dinner, we drove towards Cordova via CCLEX to visit 10,000 Roses Café. I was kinda worried that it might be crowded because in most photos I would see online, there's a flock of people in the Café. But good thing, during our visit, the hype must have died down already (or maybe because it was already late when we arrived) so the number of people was manageable.
We ordered our drinks and stayed for a couple of minutes to catch up on life updates. Haha. Then we returned to our hotel and finally called it a day. :)
Thank you for reading until here!
Will share about our Day 3 (and final day) in another post.
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
