This is a question many employees don't ask themselves especially this who don't have anything apart from their job.
It is heartbreaking seeing an employee who was smiling yesterday going to work but coming back home today crying because he lost his job.
The tears would have not being necessary if there were alternatives but most employees don't have and that is one major reason I wrote this article to open the eyes of employees to alternatives aside the salary they receive whether small or big.
There is something you have passion or talent in that can be monetized into a profit making business.
Few weeks back an employee reached out to me and complained of how her salary was not enough and how afraid she is because there is no other alternative aside from her job.
The question she asked was, how can she find an alternative and one of the things I told her was that she should give attention to what comes easily for which is her passion.
She began telling me of how easy it is for her to speak and teach on relationship/marriage issues, I quickly told her things to start doing for that passion to become a profitable business.
Most employees are ignorant of the fact that they can turn their passion, talents, experience and knowledge into a profitable business which can become streams of income.
This understanding will make you red assured that even if you lose your job today, you have what to fall back to.
It is not wise as an employee to not have anything to fall back to.
In face it is more wise to start preparing to create alternatives for income aside your job while working and not waiting till you are sacked or when you retire.
