Hi, #Hive community friends and content creators, good night and best wishes. It's now the end of the year, and the holiday season has started. Yesterday morning, the students at school already got their semester exam results, after that they would be off school for a week or two. During school holidays, usually, students will have fun holidays, both with family and friends.
Talking about holidays, I remember when I was little. After the distribution of school report cards, I was always happy because my parents would take me on a trip. When I was still living on the island of Java, my parents often took me to natural baths. When the holiday season arrives, the road to nature tourism is always jammed. My father is impatient in dealing with traffic jams. Instead of lingering in a traffic jam, it's better to go somewhere else.
Well, if dad has changed the travel route, then he will take him to a vacation spot that is closer to home. Namely the water park and water boom. Waterpark and water boom were my favourite vacation spots as a child. So, if I leave for a faraway place, then I pray and hope for long traffic jams so that my father will take me to a water park. Hehehe. Those are fond holiday memories for me.
But, now I'm an adult. I am already 27 years old. It doesn't feel like I'm getting older. In the past, I preferred waterparks to nature tourism, but now I want to travel to natural areas. Previously I travelled with my parents, now I can travel alone. Sometimes, I really miss childhood memories while on vacation with my parents.
Now, I no longer live with my parents. The distance between where I live and my parents are very far away, separated by a vast ocean. Because now I live with my older sister and her daughter in Medan City. While my parents are in Central Java. It took a long time and a lot of money to return to my hometown in Central Java. So, to relieve my homesickness while on vacation to the waterpark with my parents, this afternoon I went alone to the waterpark.
The waterpark that I visited this afternoon is called "Wisata Merci" which is located in the Merci Ben housing complex. The distance to Wisata Merci is about 45 minutes from my sister's house by motorbike. While on the road, I got caught in the rain, but after taking shelter for a few minutes, the rain stopped and I continued my journey to Wisata Merci. I've passed this recreation area, but never went inside. So, this is my first time visiting here.
To enter this waterpark, we have to buy an entrance ticket for 45K IDR. Many people come here for vacation and fun. There were groups from school, there were those with their families, and there were also those with their girlfriends. Maybe it's just me who came alone to this place. Here, I don't swim or play in the water. I came here because I missed vacations with my parents when I was little. After all, no one takes care of my luggage when I play in the water here.
This place is pretty good, but not that big for me. I like to see a gazebo that has a unique design like a small house. I don't know how much it costs to rent the gazebo, it seems quite expensive. Because there is air conditioning in the gazebo room. In addition, there is a place that is shaped like a house. I don't know what place it is, but I like the design of the house. Very classic.
In this place, People need not fear getting lost. Because there is a map that is displayed at several location points. Things that visitors can enjoy here include slides, water booms, bubble baths, wave pools, and many other things that can make visitors feel happy. The thing I like here is, there are lots of trees and plants that make this place cool. The facilities at this place are also complete, there are locker rentals, a prayer room for people who want to pray, clean toilets, and a food court that provides a variety of food and drinks.
After being satisfied exploring Wisata Merci, suddenly I want to drink coffee. Not far from Wisata Merci there is a pretty good coffee shop in my opinion. I forgot the name of the coffee place, but the location is still in the same housing complex. I ordered one palm sugar iced coffee for 20K IDR. Palm sugar iced coffee is my favourite drink.
I chose to enjoy my coffee outdoors, because the outdoor atmosphere of this place is very comfortable, like in a garden filled with plants. In addition, there is also a place that is like a tent, but small in size. Looks like it would be beautiful at night with the colourful lights. After all, the indoor cafe is an air-conditioned room, so I can't possibly smoke in it.
