HivePulse SEO Contest: New Week 10 Round (500 HIVE)

Summary: Week 9 of the HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Eight entries were submitted, five counted, and three podium posts tied on a perfect score. Three entries that scored high enough to win took nothing home, because each was missing a single tag. 400 HIVE is going out and Week 10 is open.

Eight entries were submitted. Five counted. Three lost their entry to the missing #hivepulse tag — the single rule this contest enforces, and the most expensive two seconds on the board. Five valid entrants put the round in the under-10 tier, so the podium pool is 300 HIVE. One referral pair earned 25 HIVE each and @nabbas0786 took the 50 HIVE X engagement prize. 400 HIVE is going out.

Three entries scored 100 and won nothing

@mayt and @les90 both published a perfect 200/200 post. @nursejoe scored 97/100. None of the three carried #hivepulse, so none of them could be ranked.

@nursejoe came closest of anyone this contest has seen: the tag was typed as hive pulse, with a space. A Hive tag cannot contain a space, so it never became #hivepulse at all. One keystroke.

We check the tag by hand on every entry, against the post's on-chain metadata and its body text, before anything is ranked. We are naming these three plainly rather than quietly dropping them, because the fix is free and takes two seconds, and because a rule nobody sees enforced is not a rule.

Three rounds ago every single entrant tagged correctly. It can be done.

The tiebreak rule earned its keep again

@ahmedabbaci, @nabbas0786 and @wardah all finished on a perfect 200/200. The published tiebreak settled the podium with no judgement call: GEO first, which was 100 for all three, then word count — 3,332, then 2,326, then 1,295.

That is the second round running where the rule decided the podium instead of an opinion. It is published before each round for exactly this reason, and it will not change mid-round.

Referral bonus

• @les90 brought @intishar, a new entrant whose post qualified. Both receive 25 HIVE.

@les90's own entry was the one that lost its tag. The referral still pays — the bonus turns on the referred entry qualifying, not the referrer's.

@ahmedabbaci also brought @nursejoe, who is new and genuinely entered. Because @nursejoe's entry could not qualify, that bonus does not pay under the published rule. Tag the post next round, @nursejoe, and it will.

X engagement prize

Both submissions were proper quote-retweets of the announcement tweet. @nabbas0786 wins 50 HIVE with 9 likes and 3 replies against @ekads's 3 and 1.

Week 10 is open - up to 500 HIVE

The prize ladder remains tied to the number of valid entrants:

Five valid entries this round. Five more people and the pool moves to 400 — and three of them are already writing posts good enough to win, they just need the tag.

Week 10 runs from 29 September to 6 October 2026, 12:00 UTC.

1. Install HivePulse for Chrome or Firefox.
2. Write and publish a new post on any supported Hive frontend with the analyzer open.
3. Comment below with the post link and a screenshot of the SEO and GEO panel.
4. Tag the post #hivepulse — one word, no space. Check it before you hit publish.
5. Submit one entry per person. If you publish several, your best tagged post counts.
6. If someone referred you, write exactly referred by @username in your entry comment. When the entry qualifies, both people receive 25 HIVE. The referred person must be new to the contest.

The minimum qualifying score is SEO 70. Any language is welcome. Every entry is re-scored on-chain after the round closes.

If two or more entries tie on SEO + GEO, the podium is settled by: higher GEO, then higher word count, then earlier publication time. All three are numbers you can check before you publish.

Quote-retweet the Week 10 announcement tweet with your own words about your HivePulse experience. The quote-retweet with the most likes, reposts, and replies combined at the close wins 50 HIVE. It must quote the announcement itself, not a reply or your own post. No engagement farming.
