I never considered myself a gamer. But Hive Grove succeeded in making me continue to visit it every day for about 40 days.
Previously, I had never played blockchain games. Hive has a very popular game, namely Splinterlands. Many other Hive users post about their achievements, victories, or item collections in Splinterlands, but that doesn't interest me.
My First 40 Days in Hive Grove
My introduction to Hive Grove began when I read someone sharing about their daily achievements at Waves. I was curious about what a hive grove was and visited the link shared.

So, when I first logged in, I got a tree seed for free. For almost a month, I only cared for this seed tree by watering it every day. Trees in the hive grove need to be watered every 24 hours. After watering the tree, I got free HIVE sent to my wallet. 💲
"Very cool." That's what I thought. Just imagine, I played this game without spending any capital, aka it's free. But instead, I get a free Hive every time I water my tree. Go straight into my wallet.🤑
My daily activity in the Hive Grove, apart from watering my trees, is watering other players' trees. So by helping water the tree, it will shorten the cooling time of the tree being watered. So, to get the hive reward (by watering our tree) you don't need to wait 24 hours (it can be less).
Initially, I had no intention of spending money (HIVE) from my wallet on games. Who would have thought? Now I have bought 2 other trees, namely oak (because the price is the cheapest) and also pine (because the reward is the biggest).
Apart from that, I also bought other items such as fertilizer, worms, and others. Good for me to use myself or give as a gift to other players.
"Why would someone send a gift to another player?"
"What a waste of money." That's what I used to think. It turns out that when I made a wishlist, other Hive Grove players also gave gifts according to the wishlist I made. This surprised me, so I did the same thing when someone made a wishlist.
Hive Grove Doesn't Feel Like a Typical Game
In general, in most games, the mission is to pursue victory or ranking. Compete with other players. So every player must have skills and strategy in playing it.
However, even games without competition have big fans. Hive Grove is one example.
In Hive Grove, players are not required to be the best; there is no need to grind for hours. There is no pressure; you could say this is a relaxing game.
Login - water the tree - claim reward - done
It's that simple.
The Simple Routine That Keeps Me Coming Back
So, since getting to know Hive Grove, my daily activities have started to change. Every morning I take a moment to water my trees, claim rewards, and help water other players' trees. If I have free time, I also take the time to chat with other players at the campfire.
That's more or less my daily activities at Hive Grove. None of these activities takes very long. Yet somehow they became part of my daily routine.
Rewards Matter... But They're Not the Whole Story
Of course, earning Hive is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Hive Grove. But if rewards disappeared tomorrow, I'd probably still log in.
Because I really enjoy chatting at the campfire. Even though it's the same person, that's what makes me feel closer to them. Even though we never met in person because they were on different continents from me.
At campfire, players chat about many things. Sometimes there are also those who provide input and also submit complaints directly to 
How to be successful in Hive Grove?
In many games, your success depends on beating other players. In Hive Grove, it is the opposite. Your success grows faster when people help each other. I really enjoy this concept.
Help water other players' trees, help provide gifts between players and even help provide input to developers.
Just like in real life, you can't be successful alone. You will need other people to be successful.

Hive Grove.
It's the only one that made me want to come back tomorrow.
