I'm a fan of coffee, in fact I start every day with a nice long black of Kenyan roast beans. I'm been known to be partial to a donut, often a simple cinnamon donuts, but then again there isn't much better than a hot jam donut at the footy (gee I miss going to the footy - damn virus)
Oh and I like beer
So if you put Coffee, Donuts and Beer together it would have to work wouldn't it? Well the guys from Wayward Brewing in Sydney Australia thought it might.

Now GABS 2019 is the Great Australasian Beer Spectapular which is Australia's biggest beer festival where about 120 brewery produce one off beers - and you often get weird and wonderful beers - which you need because they are all served in tasters and no one is impressed by 60ml of lager. This one was so good that Wayward decided to can it and release it.
And it works. The smell actually gives very little away, I was expecting a Coffee scent, but I think the sweetness of the donuts masks it. There is a soft carbonation to it and body which is silky but not too full. The taste is dominated by the coffee, there is a roasted-ness at start but then that gives away to a sweetness, and almost lactose feel - so it kind of feels like a sweet flat white.
I had it with Banana Muffins spread with a little bit of butter and I have to tell you it was pretty amazing, I was going to take a photo of the can, the beer and the muffins, but then I got a little excited and went and ate the Muffins so you have to live with the can by itself above, and then a picture of the beer which I stole of untappd.
