In this field of blooming rosebuds
An acre of heart
Flanking a beautiful soul
Housed by perfumed petals
Of cardiac muscles,
Whence these little acts of love
Surface.
Infinitesimally trivial
Yet monumentally bewildering.
Your smile,
So alive.
Tattooing on my soul
Love's mark.
Like a dazzling halo
In this vision of mine,
Gilds my heart.
Your soulful solo
Of Adele's "Hello"
Sending ripples
Of goose pimples
All over my body
All consuming, bewildering and
Absolutely purifying.
"Of what color is love?"
they ask me.
"She's the colour"
I readily reply.
Your scented voice,
Wafting across every ear
Blinking of a thousand stars,
The chirping of insects,
All sing in solemn acclaim
That she's coterminous to love
Put her not to anger
Her smile, like the moon
Lights up the night.
Else a dark veil is thrown
Over the face of the moon.
But when she's happy
With racing pulses,
And the orgy of elated hearts
Drowned by a surge of emotions
Drunken on sensual feelings,
The stillness of the night
Is turned into a beehive
Of hormonal activities.
