Hi, delicious Steemians. Oops, I mean the photo (so close...). Today, we are gonna introduce Uncle Yee Sarawak Kolok Mee. Uncle Yee comes from Sarawak and he is operating a stall in Riverside Kingfisher, which is very near to Universiti Malaysia Sabah, about 15 minutes from the capital city, Kota Kinabalu.
We like to indulge ourselves in his Noodles with Pork Dumplings, Pork Meatballs, Stewed Pork Slices and Minced Pork Bits. Yes, altogether in one bowl!!! So delicious. Once you have tasted one meal, you will definitely return for more! !!
His stall only specializes in non-halal meals in bah kut teh style. The soup served is black in colour, because he uses a type of nutritional herb, called Sheng Shu Di. Sarawak style, he said.
The black Sheng Shu Di herbal taste is like warm sweetness. The taste compliments the noodles and pork served with it.
Children likes to eat the "Kolok" noodle style, which means noodles tossed with sweet soya sauce and sesame oil. Herbal soup is served in another bowl. Only RM5.00 per set. (USD1.70) OMG, so cheap!!!
Drinks in the restaurant is typical like other restaurants, except for this bottled herbal sweet drink. It is called Har For Chou (in Cantonese) , which means cooling grass. Only RM4.00 per bottle of coolness. (USD1.20) So cheap!!!
I and my son come here for breakfast before school, about 3x a week. My mom and my sister comes here 1x a week.
