Its good to be back
In the sticky Lagos heat, Adanna got another text: "Warn her." It was the third one, no name, just those words. Her cousin Chioma was coming back tomorrow from hiking in the Obudu hills, full of stories about a nice guide named Emeka. Adanna worried Chioma trusted everyone too much.
By morning, Adanna heard bad rumors online about people going missing up there. She jumped on a bus and sped north, heart racing. She called Chioma: "Get out now, it's not safe!"
As the sun set, Adanna found them by the campfire. Chioma laughed with Emeka, but shadows moved in the trees. "Run!" Adanna yelled, pulling her away. They dashed to the jeep and escaped, the warning like a lucky charm or just Adanna's big-sister gut.
