Wednesday Walk- We Hiked Again (Slightly Different Trail), In Taman Tugu!
I don't know why but I get really excited when I get to hike, though I don't get to do it often. So for #wednesdaywalk this round, I want to write about our second hike in Taman Tugu.
We went for this hike with another 2 frienss who are new to Taman Tugu but are definitely not new to hiking. They have hiked many more places than I did. This round they wanted to go with my two boys.
Location: 94-1, Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, Kuala Lumpur, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
A Different Trail
This round, I decided maybe we could try a different trail and we wanted to explore a path with some bamboo plants that created an "arch-like" pathway. I have seen many people taken photos here so I really wanted to check it out.
Off we went! My 4-year-old was very determined throughout the whole hike by walking all by himself! He is such a good sport in activities like this.
I marked this spot to remember when I see the CP-14 sign, we can detour out to the bamboo plants area.
After crossing a small stream that has such clear water, we arrived at the place I wanted to go.
The Bamboo Forest!!!
It is a path well paved and easy to walk. This part is a flat terrain so there was not much challenge.
So we took some photos here.
Bamboo forest does give me a sense of peaceful and calm feeling, for whatever reason.
The Sponsored Plantation Plots
After we came out of the bamboo forest, we see many plots of lands that are tended to and allocated. Then we realize it is a space by Uniqlo to find anyone to sponsor and adopt any kind of vegetation. Interesting!
Arrived at our little "Maze"!
We then came to a little abandoned structured thst looked like a door to get through. It felt like a bit of an adventure in a maze! Hahah the boys were happy!
Onward and Forward!
We went some more ahead because the whole trail was about 2.5 to 3km. My eldest son was a bit terrorized by some flying butterflies because he doesnt dwell well with flying insects so I went ahead and faster with him. My friends stayed with my youngest who did the whole walk without any complaint though he was tired towards the end.
Swinging in the Forest!
There were many swings at different pit stops so we decided to take a break half way and just played the swings. It was fun! Not only the children enjoyed it, but the adults too!
We made it out!
The ranger was so impressed with my 8-year-old and then later he learnt that his little 4-year-old brother also did it, he was even more amazed! Hahaha good job everyone!
We then washed up and rested at the designated eating areas, replenished ourselves with some snacks and isotonic drinks. We got changed at their very well maintained rest rooms and before we left, O went to check out a small part of their nursery.
