I was running through some photos in my album and decided that though I did not record step-by-step cooking for some of my food, I want to leave them on Hive to remember what I have cooked and eaten!

I have eaten some of them before my gestational diabetes check so if you see more healthy food, that has got to be after my check.

Marmite Pork Ribs

This was one I worked hard to cook on a Sunday and usually I am exhausted on Sundays. After I cooked this, I remember I experienced a vertigo spell the next day. Aiks. Nevertheless this dish can still be remembered. I remember I needed to coat and fry up the ribs before coating them in the marmite sauce which is a savory sweet combination. It was quite tedious so maybe this dish may only appear once in my kitchen but it was delicious nonetheless!

My different wraps

On aome days, I very long for wraps. Instead of buying them outside, I decided to make them with whatever I have at home. Sometimes it can be just a fried egg with some vegetables, if I do have bacon or luncheon meat or even some fried chicken, that would be a huge plus point kind of bonus.

Fried rice!!!

This was definitely before I started reducing carbs to watch my glucose level. I do like fried rice when I can abstain from white rice. I cooked a luncheon meat frier rice that was one of the best fried rice. I mean the luncheon meat always flavours up the rice so much to elevate it to another level.

I also unexpectedly ordered a Chinese Yong Chow fried rice that look not too appealing but burst out with some great flavours!

Tea Time Snacks

At the same shop, I ordered a egg yolk custard bun too for tea time! That was a great comforting reward for me on my that super taxing day. The overflowing yolk custard is just phenomenal!

There was a day when my brother-in-law and sister-in-law went to downtown KL for a food trip. They bought us this snack which has layer of glutinous rice cake and yam and sweet potato I think. All of them were fused together to be deep fried and oh my, yums!

There was a Saturday when I got this croffle that sandwiched tuna and vegetables in between as my snack. It was sooooo good. The croffle which is waffle made of croissant always has a great sweet texture to it and pairing with something savoury like tuna, it is perfecto! I had it as a quick bite in my car before driving to somewhere.

Me and my carbs

On some days, there were cheat days when I fell back to my fried vermicelli, pan mee made of flour and also my chee cheong fun which are flat noodles alsp made of rice or flour. I know everytime after I eat them, I bloat because my stomach cannot take too huge amount for each meal but I get satisfied with them so once a week, I cheat haha.

This was one crazy good fried rice vermicelli with sotong sambal ( squid in spices)!

Some spicy creamy aglio alio. I wanted to try this weird combo when I saw a truck by the roadside offering it. It ended up making me cannot brain it though it tasted not too bad.

Craved for chilli pan mee so I went to the nearest I could find in me residential area. It was super good. Spicy till my mucus started coming out but so satisfying. The soup was also really good and had a lot of spinach to offer.

My chee cheong fun. It is a local food where you can choose with or without the rice noodles. Asides from that, you can choose a gravy to go with ingredients you pick like fried beancurd, stuffed vegetables. I chose the curry gravy, always.

Army Stew

I attempted making my own one pot "army stew" hahaha. I had one of the most delicious tomato gravy dish then I had leftover. Suddenly I didnt even know where I got the idea to try to turn it into an "army stew" with whatever I had. I added in fish balls, mushrooms, luncheon meat (again, oops! Tried to diversify the luncheon meat into few dishes so didn't eat too much of it at one go) and some other ingredients. It was not the best but not bad.

My "Traffic Light Colours" breakfast

In the recent weeks, I started thinking a bit more for breakfast though I usually have not much idea for it. I started assembling plates with traffic light coloured food like spinach, tomatoes, bell peppers, omelette, scrambled eggs and sometimes mushrooms and avocados our buttered corn too. Some days, I really entertain myself in preparing it when I am very up to it. I do enjoy doing but some days I didn't manage to do it to reserve energy. They have been very delicious and they made me happy when I can do it.

My Saladsssss! 馃槏

I am trying to eat a bit healthier so I have been attempting salads. A friend recommended this dressing called Black Vinegar and Onion. This is very appetizing and I love having it with my lettuce, cherry tomatoes and also sometimes some corn or cucumber. I sometimes use thousand island sauce when I crave for it too over boiled eggs.

My favorite bagel!

I must end this food compilation with my favorite bagel. Two friends kept telling me how nice their jalapeno cheese bagel was that made me hunt for bagels. I got this plain bagel that came with a cream cheese for me to apply on it. Then I had an avocado so I added that in as well. Voila, the combination was just so right!! The texture of the bagel was also a bit chewy yet soft. So nice!

That is about it for my recent food compilation! Hope you enjoy reading the food as much I enjoy eating them! Wishing everyone to eat well and eat happy!!!
