My oldest nephew turned 11 on the past February 11 and I remembered that before he turned 11 last year, I told him that I want to bring him for some desserts. I want to honour my promise!
So gladly today, we planned and were able to make it, bringing along some company - his mum and brother, my son (his cousin) and their grandma to the Molten Chocolate Cafe!
Coincidentally, all of us had lunch in my home as my mum-in-law hosted them for lunch and then his parents needed to go home to take some things so the 2 boys stayed back and went together with us. Things like this is a huge thing for my son as it is considered like his special activity during the school holidays! I think all the children were happy to be able to go in the same car, from the non-stop chit-chatting.
Finally we arrived at the place though it was just a 5 minutes drive from my place hahahaha. Okay I am happy to be here because this shop used to be my happy place! I used to get a drink and write posts for Steemit (before I migrate to Hive) and I could sit here to unwind a bit to collect my thoughts.
There was no crowd at all so I actually enjoy cafes with lesser people though I feel for their business as it has quieted down a lot due to the pandemic. Always love their interior.
There is another section that is even more secluded, perhaps for private reservations on the outside.

What we ordered:
I asked the birthday boy to scroll through their menu after I scanned the QR code. He went ahead to order Waffles with Chocolate and Vanila Ice-cream. It comes with 3 pieces of waffles served with milk chocolate poured on the waffles and also whipping creams as well as the vanila ice-cream.
I ordered some other sides to share with the adults and children.

This is my favorite to order. Sometimes, I even ordered it to the house via food delivery app.
Churros with Chocolate
This is my first time trying this and it has to be my new favorite. I really like how the churros were done. It was perfect to me. They served it with some savory milk cream, whipping cream and a dark chocolate sauce for dip.
Hot Mint Chocolate
Used to like this a lot but it is a bit tad too sweet for me this time. Looks like it will be my last time ordering this, oops!

That was quite a quality time spent for us adults and also the children who enjoy each other's company for about 1.5 hours. We could sit down and actually talked, that has been rare for me.
My son helped to take this last photo of us. I think he did a good job though right after he took, he said he thinks he didn't know how to take good photos.
I am glad I can celebrate the eldest nephew's birthday. He has grown to be such a fine young man who is understanding, mature and responsible. Seeing him learn and having the joy of learning is something I am very proud of him. Also love to see him and his joy of discovering food!
