So for most Americans today is the day of a long weekend in celebration of Memorial Day which is on Monday. Many people travel on this weekend, others set in for parades and cookouts.
Memorial Day is the day we Americans stop and pause to remember all of our countrymen who have fallen in war. Personally, I am getting a tad bit tired of all these wars and have been for some time. If we ain't fighting one, those fellas in Washington are funding one!
Anyway, I will do my duty on Monday and raise Old Glory, raise my glass and give a salute for our fallen dead.
Tonight on #beersaturday I am going with another IPA. I know, I know . . . it was not too long ago I posted that I was not a huge fan of IPAs but as of late it seems that is all I am trying.
BEER NAME: Lazy River
STYLE: IPA
ABV: 6.7%
BREWER: Eleven Lakes Brewing, Cornelius North Carolina
APPEARANCE: Deep Amber, hazy and pours with a foamy head
AROMA: pine and citrus
TASTE: well balanced hops and nice citrus
MOUTHFEEL: medium body, carbonates well, clean finish, the bitters and citrus linger
A really great IPA and an enjoyably smooth drink on a lazy hazy #beersaturday.
