Festbier is a lager brewed by Four Saints Brewery in Asheboro, NORTH CAROLINA.

Asheboro, not to be confused with Asheville, is located in the heart of the Piedmont Region and is home of the North Carolina Zoo. https://www.nczoo.org/

So if you ever are in Asheboro to visit the Zoo you may want to try some of the local brew.

I am a great admirer of the "can art" that many of our local brewers utilize. The can itself tells much of what the brewers intended.

Without even opening the can I am anticipating a German Style Lager. The can sports the colors of Bavaria with the Alps in the background. And there flying proud in the sky is the Red Baron himself!

And I guess the brewers were a little proud of their creation since they were kind enough to tell me how good it is, all be it that they decided to tell me in German.

I suppose if they the printed "It is very good!", in English some might have thought that a bit haughty and high minded. And as far as we North Carolinians are concerned if you want "haughty" head south to South Carolina and if you are "high minded" head north to Virginia.

We in North Carolina dwell in the Valley of Humility between to great mountains of conceit.

Yes sir, the one thing we North Carolinians are most proud of, is our humility.

Appearance: straw gold, well carbonated and pours with a thick creamy head
Aroma: small hint of malt

Festbier is a medium body lager with a clean finish. Who needs second rate Bavarian Beer when we in North Carolina have a brew that outshines anything Munich might ever have. Now, now, calm down, that is not bragging it is a simple statement of fact. Not that I have ever been to Munich, seeing as I fairly much am a home body.

The Four Saints Brewers are very humble when they placed on the can:

As far as I am concerned they could have printed "the Greatest Beer in the World", so long as they used Latin, or some other dead language, so as to not appear boastful and ruin our North Carolina reputation for humility.
