I used to travel to work every days from a countryside village to the city and then to my workplace. It is a long way since I wake up very early in the morning until I go back home in the afternoon, most of the times, it was night.
So I decided to move to the university residence to be more comfortable in relation to travel and schedule.
Last Tuesday I got my room. For now I live alone, maybe in the future someone else will live with me because it is a big room with space for another person.
At the beginning it was not in the best conditions, but the guys that work in the service area cleaned and organized for me. I did not spend the night there, I went back home to buy a new phone and to carry some more things I needed to decorate the walls and my closet's door.
Yesterday I came with my bags and ready to stay there.
I arrived in the morning and went directly to have breakfast and then go to work.
I came back to my new room and started to decorate it. I brought a short mirror and silicone to put the decorations.
It is the first time that I move and have to start a life on my own. I did it years ago while studying to be an English teacher, but it was not the same. I was younger and there were more than 10 girls in a big room caring and supporting each other. The only thing I had to do was studying.
Now I have to buy things and articles to make my life easier here, buy and administrate my own food, set priorities, manage my time and economy, make new friends and keep good relations with my neighbors.
This is a big lifestyle change for me, but I think I am ready to face the music and do it well.
This new life needs a mature mind and socio emotional intelligence to deal with the different situations that may appear in my life. Now I have to solve my own problems and decision makings. My mom is not with me to help me or save me.
I see this like a new opportunity to grow and be a better person and a better professional.
By this moment it looks like a quiet building (I am in a second floor, before the last room). People here seems to be friendly and everybody is in their own business. Sunsets are beautiful here. The sky paints itself in orange with some purple clouds and the Sun illuminates the university's main monument.
I am enjoying this peace and this silence, but missing my mom too. For now I know few people here, the one next to my door, and the couple in front of my door and a boy in front of my door too.
I am happy about this new period. Oh! I almost forget! Breakfast here is from 7:30 to 8:30, we all have our lunch at work and dinner is from 16:00 to 17:00 more or less, I am not familiar yet with dinner time. We have to share the restroom but it is okay. Everybody respect each other and it is always clean (everybody here is paying attention to this).
Well, by now, this is my first impression about the university residence and my first day here. Today it has been a good day too.

隆Hola! 隆Bienvenidos a mi blog! 馃槂
Sol铆a viajar al trabajo todos los d铆as desde un pueblo rural hasta la ciudad y luego a mi lugar de trabajo. Es un largo camino desde que me despierto muy temprano por la ma帽ana hasta que regreso a casa en la tarde, la mayor铆a de las veces, de noche.
As铆 que decid铆 mudarme a la residencia universitaria para estar m谩s c贸moda en cuanto a viajes y horarios.
El martes pasado obtuve mi habitaci贸n. Por ahora vivo sola, tal vez en el futuro alguien m谩s vivir谩 conmigo porque es una habitaci贸n grande con espacio para otra persona.
Al principio no estaba en las mejores condiciones, pero los chicos que trabajan en el 谩rea de servicio la limpiaron y organizaron para m铆. No pas茅 la noche all铆, regres茅 a casa para comprar un tel茅fono nuevo y traer algunas cosas m谩s que necesitaba para decorar las paredes y la puerta de mi armario.
Ayer vine con mis maletas y lista para quedarme.
Llegu茅 por la ma帽ana y fui directamente a desayunar y luego al trabajo.
Regres茅 a mi nueva habitaci贸n y comenc茅 a decorarla. Traje un espejo peque帽o y silicona para colocar las decoraciones.
Es la primera vez que me mudo y tengo que comenzar una vida por mi cuenta. Lo hice hace a帽os mientras estudiaba para ser profesora de ingl茅s, pero no era lo mismo. Era m谩s joven y hab铆a m谩s de 10 chicas en una habitaci贸n grande, cuid谩ndonos y apoy谩ndonos mutuamente. Lo 煤nico que ten铆a que hacer era estudiar.
Ahora tengo que comprar cosas y art铆culos para facilitar mi vida aqu铆, comprar y administrar mi propia comida, establecer prioridades, gestionar mi tiempo y econom铆a, hacer nuevos amigos y mantener buenas relaciones con mis vecinos.
Este es un gran cambio de estilo de vida para m铆, pero creo que estoy lista para enfrentar la m煤sica y hacerlo bien.
Esta nueva vida necesita una mente madura e inteligencia socioemocional para lidiar con las diferentes situaciones que puedan aparecer en mi vida. Ahora tengo que resolver mis propios problemas y tomar mis propias decisiones. Mi mam谩 no est谩 conmigo para ayudarme o salvarme.
Veo esto como una nueva oportunidad para crecer y ser una mejor persona y una mejor profesional.
Por ahora parece un edificio tranquilo (estoy en el segundo piso, antes de la 煤ltima habitaci贸n). La gente aqu铆 parece amigable y cada uno est谩 en lo suyo. Los atardeceres son hermosos aqu铆. El cielo se pinta de naranja con algunas nubes moradas y el Sol ilumina el monumento principal de la universidad.
Estoy disfrutando de esta paz y de este silencio, pero tambi茅n extra帽o a mi mam谩. Por ahora conozco a poca gente aqu铆: la de al lado de mi puerta, la pareja frente a mi puerta y un chico tambi茅n frente a mi puerta.
Estoy feliz con este nuevo per铆odo. 隆Oh! 隆Casi lo olvido! El desayuno aqu铆 es de 7:30 a 8:30, todos almorzamos en el trabajo y la cena es de 16:00 a 17:00 m谩s o menos, todav铆a no estoy familiarizada con la hora de la cena. Tenemos que compartir el ba帽o, pero est谩 bien. Todos se respetan y siempre est谩 limpio (todos aqu铆 est谩n pendientes de esto).
Bueno, por ahora, esta es mi primera impresi贸n sobre la residencia universitaria y mi primer d铆a aqu铆. Hoy tambi茅n ha sido un buen d铆a.
