Every few years on Long lake 15 miles North of Moscow, depending on weather conditions, you can see an amazing picture when the sub-zero temperatures and no snow, the entire lake becomes a perfect mirror. Natural ice rink the size of sixty football fields!!!! Can you imagine? This fall I took a few pictures on the old iPhone. They certainly do not convey all the beauty, but at least will give an idea about this rare for our latitude phenomenon:
