Let's get back to Estonia for a change. Suddenly the winter came on and earlier than previous years. Usually, we are lucky to have snow during Christmas but now it got really cold and snowy early. I love it, I don't enjoy the gray and black weather at this time of the year so Snow is always welcome.
Last weekend I went to the Pärnu county in south Estonia and also visited the Kabli nature trail. It's quite close to the Latvian border.
The previous night we got our first snow.
Kabli trail is a short 2 km long trail that goes through the forest and coastline nearby. Even though it's not deep snow, it looked like a white wonderland.
Saw a tree with strange roots. It looks like a weight of a large tree is only supported on roots. Below the tree is an empty space.
Usually, the first snow melts fast but now, almost a week later the snow still hasn't melted and in fact, much more has fallen all over Estonia. Last night we had -10C to -20C temperatures and the cold and snowfall are expected to continue.
