Okay, the video is sideways, oops! In any case, I have been working on a side project over at my cousin Joe's house. I didn't get any pictures on the day I started it, unfortunately. The original fence was falling apart from the extreme wind they get in the back yard. Also, for privacy, they wanted the new fence to be higher than the original. I started by removing all the old fence panels and leaving the 4 x 4 posts.
I wrapped the 4x4 posts using 1x6 and 1x8 cedar and left them long at 8'.
I used 2x4 treated to frame in between each newly wrapped post. Framing is 2' on center.
Then, I used 1/2" 4x8 treated to sheet both sides of my framed walls.
Then, I took 2x12x10 cedar and cut them to fit and used my router with an OG bit to finish the top edges and the caps for each post.
Lastly, I sided both sides of the fence to match the house and built the gate and installed the hardware for the latch and handle. The video sucks because I filmed it sideways but you can still see the finished product. It took me about 3 weeks to complete this by myself. Here's me back at my shop happy that it is finished and that I can write this post.
Thank you to Steemit and my followers, I can not express how much I love being a part of this! Enjoy, until the next time.....
