The first time I've been to Tokyo was in 2016, for work. I was involved in a cross-border project for RareJob, Inc. I was only able to do some strolling in Shibuya and Harajuku. I had a great time with Japanese colleagues. Yes, it was for work but they would always go out of their way to treat us out for a great meal/drinking session. If I had so much fun there on a business trip, I thought, I'd have even more fun on a leisure trip.

I promised I myself I'd go back there! And I did. I visited Tokyo with my sister last year. On my first visit, I didn't have to worry about navigating the wild megacity. I just followed my boss' lead during our commutes to and fro the hotel and our JP office. So exploring Tokyo with my sister had been quite a challenge. We heavily depended on Google Maps, friends' sketches, and (thanks to generous people for sharing their time) tour given by friends.

It was a great learning experience being in Tokyo both for business and leisure trips. I've always admired this country and I've gained more respect for it and its people. They are the most conscientious people I've ever seen. They are very, very hospitable and courteous to foreigners.

IMO, if language barrier is not a problem, they could be considered as the most hospitable people in the world.

So many fun and amazing things in Japan that would make one want to go back there again and again. From the cool and reliable transportation system, great food, hi-tech stuff that's like a normal thing for them, etc. If I would have it my way, I'd like to to JP every once in a while to unwind. Amidst the multitudes of people you don't know but you feel safe with, it's a nice place to enjoy solitude.

Gonna be back for more for sure.
