Today, I will show you the surroundings of a small but interesting village in Bulgaria - Uglen.
It is located in Northern Bulgaria, along the banks of the Vit River. What drew my friends and me there were the fascinating rock formations surrounding the village. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time and only managed to see a few of the sights, so I’ll start with the rock formation known as "Dupkata" (The Hole).
It consists of a massive arched rock formation—a natural arch through which the river flows.
My friends and I climbed up the cliff, and a local showed us a hole that many people used to jump into the water.
The hole looked quite narrow and terrifying to jump into.
The view from above was very beautiful.
The rocks here have a very interesting structure, and you can see different shapes from every angle.
Another rock formation, called "The Elephant," is located nearby.
We took a walk along the river and enjoyed the beautiful views.
Thank you for stopping by!
