As heard on the news, the Philippines is experiencing typhoon in some parts of the country. I am thankful that here in Cebu, we are not that much affected but most of the people living near the coast can feel a strong wind and see big waves. I appreciate the determination of the fishermen to take risks despite the danger they are heading in the middle of the ocean. As most of them are dependent on it then they have to surpass the trials to make a living since the majority of them are attached from this kind of job. As they said, their half-life is dedicated to the open sea (laot).
