This is my first post from The Hive and I'm loving it as it feels familiar and just like Steem! Well at least for now and can't wait to see what small changes are made in the near and long term to make this stand apart and excel past Steem!
Hiver for Life
Are we the Hivees, the Hiveians, the Hivers? I have no idea, but I think this will be the place to blog about crypto and be introduced to crypto wallets, dapps, and exchanges from here on out.
To hear that we have a team of 30 + developers that are no longer limited by a central authority makes me nervous and excited, but mostly excited. It makes me nervous as we won't have a central authority to guide the development of the blockchain. While this has it's negative and positives (mostly negatives), it can help to serve as a rallying point for the direction of the troops.
However, I think with more input from the community and future stakeholders of Hive, we will have a good general direction to head, and will be able to experiment more without a central authority shutting down, what could have been, some awesome ideas and upgrades.
Dapps Dapps Dapps
Looking forward to the decision that will be made by Dapps and Exchanges in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see who supports both chains and who stays with Steem or comes over to Hive.
I think most Dapps will try and figure out a way to support both chains. I mean why wouldn't you want the potential for users on both chains to use your Dapps? I'm sure some will stay with Steem as they want to see what Justin Sun has to offer, doubt much, and some will want to completely cut ties with Steemit and Justin and that's ok with me as well.
I'm most interested to see what exchanges will be supporting the hardfork. I'm not too worried about it as long as we have 
Have a Direction
I'm really excited about the future and feel like I at least have somewhat of a direction again. I've heard some rumors that some Dapps are even going to try and become "independent" if you will and stand on their own two feet. I'm really excited about one that I post on occasionally saying they're pushing in that direction.
I haven't seen anything official posts from Dapps yet saying that they will so I'll wait to write about it then, but glad I feel like sharing my thoughts and opinions again and looking forward to supporting a project that sounds like they will start pushing out regular updates and improvements.

It's important to get the news out, as I was watching a crypto YouTuber saying his wife uses Steem every day and had no idea about Hive or the hardfork, so don't forget to help spread the word as I think a few Steemians like using the platform and might not pay a lot of attention to what's been going on recently.
