隆Bienvenidos a mi blog!

Welcome to my blog!

Hablemos de: "Enough said" Continuing with the same style of publishing romantic movies, I bring you a recommendation that follows my previous publication, where the relationship shown in the story is much more mature than the emotional romance to which we are accustomed. This time our characters are over 40 years old and they show us that in the field of love we are all vulnerable in certain aspects. Let's talk about: "Enough said".

驴De qu茅 trata la pel铆cula?/What is the film about?

In this story we meet Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a divorced woman with a teenage daughter who is about to leave for college, and to make a living she works as a masseuse in the city of Los Angeles. One day her best friend invites her to a party where she meets Albert (James Gandolfini), a divorced man with a teenage daughter who is about to leave for college, and with whom she has nothing in common except the details mentioned above.

Despite not having a crush at first sight, they both decide to try dating, get to know each other and find out if they have a chance as a couple. In the midst of their multiple outings, their relationship is threatened by the shadow of their ex-partners and the constant fear of failing again.

After a certain age, we become more transparent...

The dialogues handled in the plot made me feel comfortable and even identified quickly with the events. Albert and Eva were too honest(for what I'm used to) about what they like, what they consider to be their weaknesses, preferences, and opinions of life in general. At no time did they try to look good in front of each other, and they had conversations that might be considered awkward for most, in a natural and fluid way.

If there was one thing I liked about this movie, it was this fact. Normally you hide your weird tastes or quirks in the process of getting to know each other, because you obviously want to look good, but for them this was a waste of time. They were to the point from day 1.

Giving too much importance to an ex's point of view can turn against you...

We all have something negative to say about old relationships, like the things that person did to hurt you, their bad habits, in short.... There are very few of us who try not to focus on the bad, and even more not to disclose it. But when you already have a failed marriage, it is inevitable not to be afraid of making a mistake again, so you analyze the previous relationship of your new love.

Here we will see how what an ex-partner has to say can impact the new bond you are trying to establish. It gets to the point where you start to hate the same thing about that person that your ex hated, and you end up becoming like him or her without realizing it.

A separation, a new beginning, the expectation of the future...

We must also take into account that both were going through a difficult time, as the date was approaching when both daughters would be leaving for college and they had those emotions on the surface. Then, added to that the fear of failing in another love relationship, plus the circumstances they were facing in their daily lives.

They were at a point where they didn't want dramas, but someone to share their life with.

Going deeper into the subject would take me to tell you everything in detail and that is not my intention, the idea is that you feel the curiosity to know how you came to raise all your doubts and how things got a little out of control.

Once again I was surprised by a light plot, with an everyday comedy, without forcing humor or interactions on its characters, and with a very interesting point of view about the role of our insecurities in a relationship. I hope you also give it a chance and get to appreciate these characteristics.
