It's been interesting getting to read people's nasty and funny alcohol experiences, courtesy of the current hive learner's weekly topic. Alcohol like so many things in life is expected to be taken in moderation, and even several verses in the Bible warn us about its usage, not necessarily forbidden but rather a personal decision to make and the most important thing to consider is not to get drunk and lack control of your mental and physical state.

I've witnessed situations whereby alcohol mixed with some herbs helped calm certain stomach-related issues, I've also witnessed adults, fathers, and respected men and women in society lose their sense and composure after excess alcohol consumption, I was even a victim once out of curiosity but I learned the hard lesson.

I grew up to my time in the university and felt I had to check some never done boxes, you know just not to feel left out and inexperienced about certain things which were common among adults and tasting alcohol was part of that list, I was home on holiday and had some of my cousins visited and that day happened to be the birthday of one of them, which had us visit one of the popular bar and restaurant in our area, we had pepper soup and other yummy food on the table, my cousin who took the bill on himself also ordered for some drinks, and when I requested for malt at first, they laughed and asked when I would give you my uptightness, worst still, the bar only served alcoholic drinks, there was really no way around this, I knew that was the day I would finally check that box, so I gave in, our eldest did the driving so he stayed sober, even though the bills were mostly on him, while they made a choice for me, a sweet tasting evil in a bottle, not bad I commented as I took several sips and even finished the bottle.

Everything went normal, but I underestimated the effect of alcohol at first and wondered what was even so special, Not until we were about to leave, I stood up from where I had sat and instantly knew something was definitely not the same, the floor felt like they gained height and my shoes felt like they've become heavier, still, I tried to maintain steeze and took two careful steps forward but according to y cousin were the funniest careful
steps he had ever seen someone take, he held my hands, as we walked to the car, but his sister remained composed even though she took double what I took, I guess moderation is different for everyone and since it was first, my reserved self was far gone and seemed like I gained double boldness, I know it was the alcohol working.

To cut the long story short, I started crying I wanted my mommy😅 on our way back home, with the help of my cousin's sister, she put me to bed and avoided our parents who were having s nice talk after a long while of seeing each other, they relayed all this to me in the morning with lots of laughter, I couldn't even remember myself doing them so I decided I wouldn't follow them anymore, the truth is I did but never allowed myself to feel pressured to join them for an alcoholic drink, and that bar thant sells only alcohol was out of the option place of destination. I can still catch up on all the other fun watching, and don't have to indulge to prove anything.

Thank you for reading❤❤
