Happy weekend, dear friends on Hive, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
After a long time of sacrificing my weekends due to the nature of my job, you can imagine my joy this weekend, finally having a free weekend, so I decided to hang out with friends, but first, I made myself a comfy jumbo palazzo pant so as to enjoy my time with the girls and also look fashionable.
I made my jumbo trousers using this beautifully zig-zag patterned ankara fabric, the first time i set my eyes on the fabric, I already knew I was going to make a pair of trousers out of it, and expectedly it came out stunning.
So without further ado, let's get right into the making process.

Elastic band
Cutting And Sewing Process
I started by cutting out the front trouser pattern and added extra 5 inches to the quarter of the hip measurement, so as to get that very free pallazzo effect
Using the front pattern, I extended it by two inches and cut out the back trouser pattern, and these extra inches serve as the seam allowance.
Next, I cut out the pocket pattern, using this plain black fabric, as the ankara fabric wasn't enough.
I sewed the crotch area of the front and back trouser patterns
- Then sewed the pockets to the sides of both the front nd back pattern.
- Continuing, i joined the sides and inseam area of the palazzo
- I used the pieces left to make a band, I fold it, then sewed three straight lines, creating a case for the elastic
- finally, I passed the elastic through the waistbapalacesewed it around the waist of the trouser. and that completes the making process of my palazzo trouser.
