Hello guys, welcome to my blog, hope you are all feeling great wherever you are. I'm super excited today, and I will be sharing with us the process of how I made this beautiful spicy red dress. Are you planning on a romantic date? Or just hanging out with your friends, this dress gives off a unique vibe, makes you stand out, you know that lady in red vibe😃, another unique part I love about this dress is it's sleeves, not your regular kind of sleeve. Also my selected choice of fabric is just perfect, in my country it is know as milkado silk, it has a little strength to the feel and also shinny look.

Without further ado, let's get right into the making process.

Materials/ Tools used

Mikado silk fabric
Cotton lining fabric
Bra cups
Matching thread
Zipper
Boning
Soft stay
Gum stay
Scissors
Taperule and a sewing machine

PROCESS

I started by drafting my patterns on a pattern paper, for both front and back. I used a princess dart bustier pattern technique.

I replicated the pattern on the main fabric and lining fabric, and also ironed interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric of all pattern piece.

I joined all the pattern piece for both front and back, and sewed in the bra cups to the front part.

to make the down part of this gown, I drafted a straight skirt pattern, with the main and lining pieces.

Next, I turned the main fabric with the lining, to give it a clean finish,

moving on, I joined the upper side of the front to the down part, and also did same to the back, attaching a zipper as well. Then I joined the front and back together by the sides.
