It was a cool day in the south bay area for a road bike ride at 55*f, the long sleeve base layer and knee warmers were on. While not really cold by the northern states standards, I don't like to feel cold especially with the wind chill factor.
A small bed of plants in Los Gatos
The ride was 19 miles and 1400 feet of climbing. I can't complain about the weather when climbing! (It's much better cold than 85*+!!!)
GPS data from a Garmin Vivoactive HR, Wahoo fitness HRM.
I passed these purple flowers, guessing they are a winter bloom...? I have always liked purple as a color.
I rode by this little park area in the back of the Los Gatos civic center. It's always interesting to see what happened in the valley 100+ years ago. What was going on 100 years ago in the area that you are currently living?
The other small flower bed in the area
I rode by Summit bikes and they have a handy pump and tools outside which you can use to fix your bike. There is another one on the los gatos creek trail and they are nice to have around. Glad to see the support for cyclists...
Happy Holidays!
