In a distant city lived a couple of old men, they had been together for more than 5 decades, the old man was a flower seller and the old woman was a housewife, they knew everything about each other, there was no secret about each other that they did not know, these old men had 2 children, a daughter named Eleonor, a son named Raul, who lived outside the city since they decided to make their lives outside the family bond.

One day the old man went out to work, it was still dark, the strong cold was hitting the windows letting the dew drops roll over him, he prepared his kitchen and got ready to prepare a hot chamomile tea to go to his day of selling beautiful flowers in the street.

When the old lady woke up from her dream she saw that the house was already empty, her old man had gone to work and she said: "I hope the old man sells everything! And she took care of the household chores, while the afternoon passed preparing everything for the arrival of her beloved old man, she made as usual a snack to enjoy while the day came, she prepared a pot of tea and made lemon cookies and sat in her old chair in front of her house, While she was waiting she saw one of her neighbors wearing a nice outfit, a dress with a beautiful flower pattern of velvety fabric of very luxurious appearance, with a nice hat and a delicate headdress of dried flowers.

The clock struck 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the old man arrived at his sweet home. It was a good day, my old lady, I sold all the flowers! exclaimed the old man with much enthusiasm, his old lady answered him "That's good, my old man! Sit down over here and let's talk, you know that what I ask you for is because I need it, and you have never given me what I want! He answered: "Old lady, you know that I do my best, I'm old and I don't have the same performance, besides, we don't receive any help from our children! She said: "Grant me my last wish, I want a beautiful dress like the one of our neighbor Maria! We'll see, old lady, although I don't think so, we actually have different priorities, she answered "I need it or I die!

Days went by and the old lady continued with her insistent request.

The next day the old man prepared himself as usual for his exhausting day, he took his cup of tea to warm up and get ready to sell flowers in the street, today the old man asked for extra flowers because he wanted to please his companion, he knew that such requests were a very bad habit in her, he had already told her that envy brings very bad consequences, but his love drove him to want to pamper her more than her body would give him.

It was 6 o'clock in the evening, then 8 o'clock at night and he received a call he was not expecting at all.

One day the old lady while cleaning got a letter that read as follows: "My dear old lady today I decided to double the efforts of my work to please you and give you the pleasure of buying you that dress you want so much, I want you to know that I am writing this letter for the following reason, I know you think that I have not given you the tastes you demand from me because I do not want to but because I have always told you that there are personal tastes and envious tastes and my dear old lady you still have not overcome that, but I love you and every flower I sell is to give you the best with love and care, I am leaving sad because you wasted your life living what you saw in others and did not enjoy what you had next to you."
