Bortus, the turtle sorcerer who explores challenging places with his lantern, is a slightly underrated summoner in the world of Splinterlands. Perhaps it's because this rare Water element card was released in the Untamed edition, and since then, players have somewhat forgotten about him, especially with the powerful summoners from the same edition like Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage, and Byzantine Kitty. However, let's remember that those summoners cost a whopping 7 mana, making it more preferable to use them in high Mana Cap challenges.
This card is offered to all players in the Base Deck, and what it offers—a -1 Debuff on the magic attacks of the opposing team—is not bad at all for the cost of only 3 Mana. It can be very useful against teams that rely on magic, such as those with summoners like Obsidian and Alric Stormbringer. The current market price is quite low, with a level 1 single card available for $1.7. However, fully upgraded cards are much more cost-effective, as a level 7 card is priced at $73, with a BCX cost of only $0.86.

Even though the Mana Cap was high, with a limit of 47, I noticed that my opponent tended to use teams heavily relying on magic attacks in previous battles. Therefore, I chose to try using Bortus this time to see how it would go.
By round 6, it was evident that the situation was not looking good for me: the -1 debuff on my opponent's magic attacks was a significant blow, but not enough to overpower the enemy's higher-level cards. Ultimately, it was my fault because I knew that deploying a level 1 summoner at this level of play would lead to certain defeat. However, I don't want to underestimate Bortus, as I believe it's a good card that deserves to be purchased and upgraded.

Bortus, lo stregone tartaruga che esplora luoghi impervi con la sua lanterna, è un evocatore un pochino sottovalutato nel mondo di Splinterlands, forse perchè questa carta rara dell'elemento Acqua è uscita nell'edizione Untamed, e da allora i giocatori si sono un po' dimenticati di lui, sopratutto con i potentissimi evocatori della stessa edizione come Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage, Byzantine Kitty, che però, ricordiamoci che costano ben 7 mana, e quindi è preferibile usarli nelle sfide ad alto Mana Cap.
Questa carta viene offerta a tutti i giocatori nel Deck di base, e alla fine quello che offre, ovvero un Debuff di -1 in attacchi magici della squadra avversaria, non è niente male per il costo di soli 3 Mana, e può essere molto utile contro squadre basata sulla magia come quelle con evocatori Obsidian e Alric Stormbringer.
Il prezzo attualmente sul mercato è abbastanza basso, si può trovare una singola carta a livello 1 per 1,7 $, però le carte già potenziata convengono molto di più, perchè per una carta livello 7 viene chiesto 73 dollari, con un costo per BCX di soli 0,86$.

Anche se il Mana Cap era alto , con 47 di limite, ho visto che il mio avversario aveva la tendenza, nelle battaglie passate, ad usare squadre basta sugli attacchi magici, quindi ho scelto di provare ad usare Bortus questa volta, per vedere come sarebbe andata.
Già al round 6 si vedeva che la situazione si metteva male per me: il debuff di -1 agli attacchi magici del mio avversario è stata una bella botta, però non abbastanza da annientare la forza di fuoco delle carta nemiche, che erano di livello molto più alto.
Infondo è stata colpa mia , perchè sapevo che schierare un evocatore al livello 1 in questo livello di gioco avrebbe portato ad una sicura sconfitta, però non voglio sottovalutare Bortus, che secondo me è una buona carta e merita di essere comprata e potenziata.
