I kept looking at my tracker today, hoping the number would magically jump... it never did. 馃槃
The morning started well enough. I got out for my usual walk, mixed in a light jog, and finished with a few simple exercises before the day got busy. I figured the rest of my steps would come naturally, just like they usually do.
Then life took over. A couple of unexpected tasks, more time sitting than I planned, and before I knew it, the evening had arrived. I still managed my usual short walks after lunch and dinner, along with the regular daily activities, but it just wasn't one of those high-movement days.
When I checked my tracker before bed, it showed 8k steps.
For a moment, I felt like I'd fallen short. Then I remembered something this routine has been teaching me: one quiet day doesn't erase all the active ones that came before it. I'd rather finish with 8k and keep the habit alive than do nothing at all because I couldn't reach a perfect number.
What do you tell yourself on the days when things don't go according to plan? I'd love to hear how you stay motivated after an off day.
