I wasn't planning to hit 20k today. The day simply kept giving me reasons to walk.
The morning started with a quiet walk, followed by some light jogging and a few exercises. Nothing extreme, just enough to wake up the body and get into the rhythm of the day.
After that, the usual daily activities kept me moving more than I expected. I took a walk after lunch to get some fresh air and clear my head, then went out again after dinner. The evening walk was supposed to be short, but I felt good and kept going a little longer. A bit of easy jogging along the way added even more movement.
When I finally checked my tracker, it showed 20k steps. I had barely thought about the number during the day, which somehow made reaching it more satisfying.
I've noticed that the most enjoyable active days aren't necessarily the ones with a strict plan. Sometimes movement simply becomes part of the rhythm: walking after meals, taking breaks from sitting, and staying outside when you have the chance.
What's the highest step count you've reached on a day when you weren't actually trying to set a record?
