On more than one occasion I have expressed my experiences as an Asperger's sufferer and the states of anxiety and depression that I lived when I did not know what was wrong with me, because nobody had told me about it and even less had occurred to me to go to a specialist. People thought I had a mental health problem and worse, I thought so too.

What I like about these topics that the community touches is that they make us (in my case) review, remember moments of anguish, of despair, of crying that were overcome and that today are lessons learned with which we can help others; and as I love to help.

Next, I will answer with my heart in my hand the questions suggested in the initiative to (perhaps) go into the details of what I have experienced with my mental health.

  • Do my thoughts generally lead me to states of well-being or discomfort?

Not before. At one time my mind cultivated the idea of hurting myself and in a horrific way.

Now I am grateful to the universe because I know who I am, what I want, how I want it and this fills me with happiness. My thoughts are full of goals to accomplish, projects to accomplish and lots of love no matter what challenges come my way. They are full of well-being.

  • What do I do with the emotions that lower my energy, such as uneasiness, helplessness, guilt or resentment?

As I mentioned in the previous answer, my thoughts are full of optimism. This gives me the strength to know how to handle emotions and thus maintain my energy. Above all, the resentment that appears from time-to-time product of the disappointments that I get from friends, relatives to whom I have lent a hand and in return they have returned abuses and lack of consideration.

  • Am I able to say no and set limits through assertive communication?

I definitely do. By nature, I speak little, but when I do I do it effectively and always positively. I had to learn to say no without conflict in order to avoid abuse and its consequences on my mental health.

  • Do I accept imbalance as a natural part of being, yet by recognizing it I am able to apply strategies to return to it?

We all have natural moments of imbalance, but the beauty is that we can identify and correct them. Things get difficult when we fall in love.

  • Do I find satisfaction in the work I do, to such an extent that if I place it on a scale, the positive outweighs the negative?

Phew, of course!

When I stopped being an employee and dedicated myself to my own work, my life changed from here to Jupiter.

Although I have to tell you that as my own boss I am very demanding. But that's the beauty of it because I'm constantly moving forward.

Recently, after years without attending classes, I decided to study graphic design. But that's not enough, I also took digital marketing and I'm serious about learning another language. All these tools will make me effective in my work.

So, the balance tips to the positive side.

  • Are my decisions generally correct, resolving in a positive way the situations I face?

I remember when I was in college I saw something that talked about logic and absurdity. That got embedded in my skull.

For everything I look for the logic, the good side, the positive side and thus arrive at good decisions.

I must be honest. When I lived my moments of depression, logic was lost on me, and its absence almost cost me my life.

  • Do I feel that with my being and doing I contribute to the world?

At the beginning I told you that I love to help. I like to listen to people, to accompany them, to be empathetic.

I am sure that with it I contribute to people. To this crazy world we live in.

In short, I'm a nutcase who has also been broken and is in good mental health today.

Well, I think so.
