There are these kind of books that questions our morals and ethics 'cause its genre based on the darkest sides of society: cruelty, violence and in all the greys it is really difficult to distinguished what is appropiate or not. Nowadays there is a really popular genre in web 2, that I dare to think that born with "Fifty Shades of Grey". Today, I come to you with a review with no spoilers of a dark romance book.

Haunting Adeline is a book of 583 pages. It was first published in August 12, 2021. This is the first book of a book duet. It is a really dark and disturbing book and it is directed to people over 21. It deals with hard topics as sexual assaults, child abduction, child trafficking, murder and stalking. most of the scenes are really descriptive. Definately, this is not a book for everyone.
what does happen with this story? the story revolve around Adeline, a famous thriller author, who finds herself in the middle of highly dangerous situations and is harassed by the antihero and main masculine character, Better known as the shadow or Zade. The thing here is through the story, we could see how questionable are the morals of our two main character and I dare to say antiheros ('cause for me adeline it is also an antihero here).
How does I feel about this story? this not my kind of genre, there are moments it is a really heavy reading and this is due to the topics are mentioned in the story. however, I consider it is certainly entertaining and interesting (when it comes to the child abduction and child trafficking). But I think it has to much dirty scenes (if u know what I mean) and sometimes I think it wasn't necessary. Even so, It's not something I can blame to the author, since the trigger warnings are really clear, this is exactly most of dark romance are about.
Finally, Do I recommend this book? You can live without read it. the story is so questionable that I cannot even being sure if it is well written, because definitely I spent most of the reading in shock, wondering how so much readers of web 2 are so fan of these kind of stories. But I cannot lie to you, practically the final 3 chapters force you to read the last book of this duet story. So, yes, I will read the next book and of course you're gonna know about it.

Hoy en día hay un género muy popular en la web 2, que me atrevo a pensar que nació con "Cincuenta sombras de Grey". Hoy vengo con una reseña sin spoilers de un libro de romance oscuro.

Haunting Adeline es un libro de 583 páginas. Se publicó por primera vez el 12 de agosto de 2021. Este es el primer libro de un dúo de libros. Es un libro realmente oscuro e inquietante y está dirigido a personas mayores de 21 años. Trata temas difíciles como agresiones sexuales, secuestro de niños, trata de niños, asesinato y acecho. La mayoría de las escenas son realmente descriptivas. Definitivamente, este no es un libro para todos.
¿Qué pasa con esta historia? La historia gira en torno a Adeline, una famosa autora de libros de suspenso, quien se encuentra en medio de situaciones altamente peligrosas y es acosada por el antihéroe y personaje principal masculino, mejor conocido como la sombra o Zade. La cosa aquí es que a través de la historia pudimos ver lo cuestionable que es la moral de nuestros dos personajes principales y me atrevo a decir antihéroes (porque para mí adeline también es un antihéroe aquí).
¿Cómo me siento con esta historia? Este no es mi tipo de género, hay momentos en que es una lectura muy pesada y esto se debe a los temas que se mencionan en la historia. sin embargo, lo considero ciertamente entretenido e interesante (en lo que respecta a la sustracción y trata de niños). Pero creo que tiene muchas escenas sucias (si sabes a qué me refiero) y a veces creo que no era necesario. Aun así, no es algo que pueda culpar al autor, ya que las advertencias desencadenantes son muy claras, de esto se trata exactamente la mayor parte del romance oscuro.
Finalmente, ¿recomiendo este libro? Puedes vivir sin leerlo. La historia es tan cuestionable que ni siquiera puedo estar segura de si está bien escrita, porque definitivamente pasé la mayor parte de la lectura en shock, preguntándome cómo tantos lectores de la web 2 son tan fanáticos de este tipo de historias. Pero no te puedo mentir, prácticamente los 3 capítulos finales te obligan a leer el último libro de esta historia a dúo. Entonces, sí, leeré el próximo libro y, por supuesto, lo sabrás.
