Eighteen days?!?!?!?

Actually, that feels about right. I haven't slowed down by any means. The semester is on a downhill slope though, and I have done so many things!

Most of them learning and work related.

Last week, I co-facilitated my first group psychotherapy session. It was designed around co-parenting, and I have to say, it was amazing! It felt so wonderful to actually get to practice what I've been training all this time to do, and even more awesome, my clients appeared to really respond to me.

Being able to attend class in person has been absolutely splendid, so much learning happens in my field seminar class, as we are all out in the field and we share and collaborate together, the good and the bad.

The not so fun aspect of this is being away from the hubs. He has the River boy and the Corg to keep him company, along with the Mosquito and the Jojo and a revolving door of workers on the Super Shop project. But after living with someone for twenty-seven years, it's more than a bit surreal and honestly quite hard to be split apart as much as we all.

One thing that is in short supply has been any fun. Any humaning. And I could feel it. The constant gallop of course work, paper writing, learning, reading, hopping around between three homes, attending class, seminars, training, and interning at the clinic has been something. So, last weekend and this weekend I planned a couple fun things into my already crammed schedule. This of course meant I had to stay up uber late a few nights getting everything done so I could have a bit of a life, but I did it!

The first of the three highlights was I took my dear friend and current roommate out to paint pottery for her birthday. I haven't got to glaze a piece of pottery since high school. I also baked a gluten free cake and slathered it with Russian Buttercream and fruit flavored sprinkles for the festive occasion. To say I had fun was an understatement, and I can't wait to see how this slice of cake fires up!

Thing of fun two was driving five miles across the prairie to my dear friends house for dinner and unexpected pumpkin carving. I haven't gotten to just sit down and carve a pumpkin of my own for years. As a parent and a library program administrator, most of your fun craft actions are set up, instruct, help, and clean up type. It was beyond FUN to just sit and carve, and I love how my kitty face pumpkin turned out. My friend's creativity shined through in their amazing carvings too!

Thing three of fun happens tomorrow. I bought my first ever complete Halloween costume and am attending a party with some of my friends. I am being a somewhat obscure character from a gacha game, an anime girl named Belle. Most of the characters from gacha games wear a little less clothing than I am willing to do, but Belle's outfit is pretty cool and I always dig a chance to wear a wig for the sake of fun. Since my friend who loves the game, and is pretty much the best player in the world at Zenless Zone Zero, is going with us, dressed as Spawn, I decided to be Spawn's little sister, Belle. It should be an interesting evening. I cannot even wait!

And now, now I must do some more of that work and running stuff. This season of my life is trucking along. I am starting to feel that enthusiastic momentum feeling coming upon me though, I get to apply to graduate this next semester, Then there's only three semesters of grad school to go!

In between it all I will still endeavor to make time for some fun and human frolicking, as I hope you all are able to do too!

And as most of the time, all of the images in this post were taken on the author's probably going to witness some antics this Halloween iPhone.
