Talk about a pile-on!

Do you ever just have seasons of your life where tribulation comes not in ones, twos, or threes, but in multiples? Yep, that's my realm at the moment.

In one twelve hour period I had a relative pass away, my dad had a medical emergency that required an ambulance ride and hospital visit, my son came down with the plague, and we got a snow storm.

This trial of hours was made even more fun due to the current state of my carcass thanks to getting improperly medicated for a week and burning out into a post imploded emotional black hole of a formerly somewhat functioning human being.

I'm ready for spring I tell you.

The only balm through it all has been the fact that thanks to my Stoic training I am able to attempt to reason my way through my perceptions, but holy wow am I slightly dreading the Ides of March. Gonna do a lotta mental pushups for the next couple weeks.

In reality though, things aren't as bad as they could be perceived. My dad is stable and now resting at home. I'm hoping his recovery is swift. My son is feeling a bit better today and he's been digging the results of my elevated hot cocoa crafting game. The hubs has been my steadfast rock. My family member who passed lived a glorious long and fruitful life, one that blessed many, and the snow, while plentiful and slightly inconvenient to many, is beautiful.

In fact, I plan on taking advantage of the five inches of fresh powder and shall be taking a snowshoe through the forest in a bit.

Things can always be worse, it just feels a tad bit awful when there is an existential pile-on. I think a lot of it just feels overwhelming when one is convalescing and in the midst of tax season.

So. Much. Paperwork. AHHH!

And as I am now through the first wave of March's roaring in, I am going to make this missive a short one. There's more than enough living to do, even if I don't like that lion's bad breath in my face right now.

Furthermore, if you are struggling a bit today, you have my full and unconditional empathy. Much hugs and mental strength affirming fist bumps are being vibed your way!

And as most of the time, all of the images in this post were taken on the author's wondering what flavor of Oreo they will release next iPhone.
