It's been a long time coming but 10,000SP is about to happen on my account. I'm not quite sure what it means in a real-world scenario however it's the culmination of a lot of effort since June 13th 2017. A lot of blogging and a very small amount of fiat investment. [I don't have much to spare for this sort of thing so it's small through necessity.]
I'm not sure how much steem has been purchased with fiat however at a guess I'd say around 1000. It has helped that the steem price has been low...But it can rise anytime from now. Quite probably I need to wait until get to around 11,000 before I start getting excited about my small SP achievement however I think just reaching the five figure mark is a reasonable effort all things considered. I've had to blog a lot, certainly over once a day in every single day since my account went live. It's taken effort and considering my blogs are rarely less that 500 words...Well, it's been time consuming.
I've read a few reasonably negative blogs from a few users mainly in respect of the toxicity that seems to plague steem, quite possibly sparked by HF21 and ill-feeling harboured from situations from the past and I sort of get it. I agree in the main. Having said that I'd like to see things come together, to coalesce into something great, which I'm sure it can. If only we could find some consensus rather than bicker, bitch and moan about things, argue and complain like a bunch of asshole politicians in the real world. You know, all the things that we hate about the real world, the bullshit that brought us here to this decentralised arena in the first place. Funny that many just perpetuate the idiocy they claim to repudiate in the real world...
It's quiet here at the moment however maybe that's a great time for some of the smaller accounts to get noticed, for some of the larger ones to take a look around and see what's out there, who they can comment on and engage with. Take it from me, large accounts, a little engagement from you, a comment and some encouragement, for us small people can mean a lot.
Anyway, 10,000 will happen soon and I feel pretty satisfied with my effort to gain that number after just over two years of work. I look forward to the future picking up and for steem to provide options for all of us here who have worked hard to gather some together.
