Best friends.
They are supposed to be there for you through thick and thin. They know all or most of your deepest secrets and they are not allowed to tell those secrets to anyone else. For example, for us girls, when you meet and are dating a new guy, you are so excited, you want your best friend there to share all the nitty gritty details. But what happens when your best friend decides to become unavailable? You try telling them about your exciting or not so exciting life but all you get is silence or they will text you two days later, when you have already moved on. They won’t meet you for coffee or a drink, or ice cream…nothing.
Why is this happening you ask? You didn’t have a quarrel...you are always there for them.so what’s the problem? I will tell you why, they have a new boyfriend! Don’t you just hate it when some girls get boyfriends and suddenly they just become unavailable? Then when that relationship is over or it has hit the rocks, they are back with a bang. Wanting to know what you have been to, how your love life is going, when y’all can have a drink!.. Like seriously?? You want to serve them the same treatment they gave you because revenge is a dish best eaten cold. But you can’t, you are not that kind of friend so you just go along and pick up where you left with her and life goes on until the next time she meets someone new and the cycle begins.
That’s my best friend for you. I have known her since we were both 10 yrs old. She will meet a new guy and I have to wait at the periphery until she comes back to me. I am tired of it but I don’t know how to tell her it hurts me.
I want to know. Do men go through these kinds of situations?
