In the past week, I finally managed to catch up with one of the greatest Anime Series ever made: Attack on Titan. A few weeks ago the third part of the Final Season came out and it was in movie length! While the previous seasons were all 20 to 30 minutes episodes, this specific piece was over one hour long and had some pretty cool stories in it! In this post, I would like to talk about this recent episode/ movie and discuss things that I really liked about it. Furthermore, there will be spoilers, so keep this in mind in case you want to watch it yourself!
Final Season Continues
After the first two parts of the final season, the journey of Eren Jaeger and the Eldians finally continues! I remember whenever the first volume of the final season came out, I was very hyped to see how this story will end. Well, little did I know that the final season was about to get split up into multiple parts. Well a few years later, here we are, still waiting for the grand finale, but with the recent part I think that we are very close to the end!
The movie starts off where we left our protagonists in the last episode. While Eren is up and about to destroy humanity, we see his remaining friends assembling the last stand. Their only option to catch up with Eren is an airplane that they need to repair before they can have their last shot on defeating the founding Titan. At this point, I think that everyone who is not familiar with the terminology, should start watching this series! I promise you that it is time well spent!

Great Animations, Soundtrack Choice & Moral Questions
With the story further developing, we are seeing many emotional decisions that are resulting in sacrifices for the greater cause. All of the fighting animations are just insanely good and underlined with the perfect soundtracks. I am still listening to the tunes from season one and so will you once you start watching this show.
The elephant in the room is probably: Which side are you currently on? Are you with Eren whose moral is quite questionable but really understandable if you see the whole picture. Or are you with the last stand squad that are truly not flawless themselves but are trying to stop genocide by Eren. This is also touched in a very emotional scene when the squad is close to their final battle. All of them are reflecting their doings in their life and the choices which brought them to this exact point in time.
In this exact moment, another very interesting question rises up: What is freedom? While Eren鈥檚 wish is to give freedom to his people he is leaving them the opportunity of defeating his purpose. It took me a long time to wrap my head around his motives but I think I might understand him now a little bit better. In the end, what else would you want from life than freedom?

Cliff Hanger & Mega Fight Ahead!
The movie ends with a cliff hanger and the possibility of having a mega fight in the last and final episode! The squad arrives to intercept Eren and his army of Giga-Titans. Obviously, he will not go down without a fight and so there seems to be an insane fight ahead where each and every Titan might get involved.
I am already looking forward to this master piece, which will come out hopefully by the end of this year. Rest assured that there will be probably a lot of Attack on Titan marathons going on around this time and I will be one of them. Revisiting every character that we lost along the way, Seeing every foreshadowing and questioning your own morality will be part of this journey. All in all, I think that people are right when they say that this masterpiece is one of the best animes that you will ever watch and that once you got a taste of this, you will not be happy with any other show/ anime.
With this being said, I hope you can give this show a try if you haven鈥檛 watched it already, and if you have, let me know in the comments: Whose side are you on? 馃槉
