So Mushoku Tensei, ReZero and other great anime has gone now, and a new season of Anime is starting. It's been a week, and I have seen quite a few first episodes. Again, is too early to tell but I have some reactions already to this new shows. I'll write a bit on what I have seen that got me and what I think it would be a pass for me.
Peak culture
One thing that I have def notice was the few Ecchi shows that have been announced and premiered. I have watched all 3 and does it really advance the story?!?!? LOL We know I would never care about that! LOL!
But really, are the shows good, so far I most say they are interesting. First is the Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru, this is quite funny show, and I really like the punchline of fighting and end up having sex with each other. It remind me of How I met your mother type of show dynamics, witch characters having classic yandere style chemistry.
The Next one is Kanojo no Tomodachi which is a classic romance triangle where the friend of the girlfriend is way more interested in the main character than the actual girlfriend. The poor guy is hanging in a balance between giving up and cheating to his first girlfriend or staying loyal.
The last one is more of a short anime and might be mini show and not go as far as a full 12 episode stretch. But is about a geeky guy that find his pointer escape his computer screen and is able to click on things and move things with the mouse. So of course he is going to try to click on girls parts to test his theory. The show is called "Click Me All Over" and you can see how it will get with his pointer.
There is a forth ecchi show which I haven't watch and is a girl with a pink hair in school type show but is also comedy. I might check it out later and report back. The show is called Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru. Honestly I can't tell if this is really an ecchi show, some report it with that tag others don't, so who to believe?!?!
Mecca Mecha Mekka
Robots are back, and seems that they are back in full force. There a bit of shows about mechas and sometimes this is a hit or miss genre. But again my expectations are high, not Evangelion, Macross high, but high enough. Vertex Force is another young kid that gts to drive a huge mecha, Akira and Haruka are friends but one have a power to summon a giant meccha which comes handy when the earth is being attacked.
The second one is about e-sports, where the game is being played with Mechas called Dark Machines, and the main character struggles to become the top player at Golden Valley, sort of a Silicon Valley for e-sporters. I am not sure if I will watch this one, but at least will give a try to the first episode.
The last one is not really mecha but spacepunk show, of a bounty hunter/adventurer who is going around space with his ship collecting goods and making a living 'a la cowboy beebop'. Then he met an elf like friend and team up for their adventures. A bit Isekai-ish but in space. The show is called Mezametara Saikyou Soubi to Uchuusenmochi Datta node which actually could be as the mc was originally an office worker who passed out and wake up in the game. So I guess he died without the services of bussu-kun.
Good sequels
This season there are a few shows that I recognize on their second season and might keep watching. First one is a kid with a magic eye that can tell the skills of the people he meet, making him perfect to recruit to his team. Being the son of nobility, he start making strides in his family and then around the kingdom inheriting land and finally dealing with strategic battles to expand the kingdom against opposite ones. Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru 3rd Season
Being part of the cool kids at school is no exception to drama in high school. The second season of the privilege handsome kid surrounded with sweeties and their traumas. Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka 2nd Season, is the continuation of how the main character have to deal with the girls issues with their parents, school bullying, insecurities and a lot of situations that have him come to save the day and fix their friends.
Finally another great anime, or at least, great animation is Reincarnated as a Sword S2, which is a cat girl who find a smart sword and make her a great warrior of her world.
There are some honorable mentions such as Netflix Cyberpunk Edgerunner 2, the classic show is back on Netflix, as well as the movie for Made in Abyss and Seishun Buta Yarou Wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai, which seems to be sequel to Bunny girl senpai.
