If there’s one dish that I won't get tired eating, that would be Pasta! Although there are so many variety of pasta and sauce combination, I usually find myself enjoying a tomato based sauce. I just really like the combination of sweet, sour, & savoury taste that a tomato sauce can bring to a dish.

Now, if there is a place that feel comfortable eating a serving of pasta ~ that would the Burp Kitchen & Bar. I would say a hidden gem. It is tuck away from the busy street side and hidden within the residential apartments of Bedok reservoir area. It's so hidden that you will only learn about this place through either reading my post or somebody else's post or you discover it accidentally :D

So What about this place that I like? They serve a western style food like steaks & burger. And they also have Mexican dish like nachos & quesadillas, basically a variety of comfort food that I truly like.

I started my dinner with a bowl of Nachos. It's served with salsa, nacho cheese, parmesan, sour cream on the side, avocado on top. I like the way they put all these sauces and garnishing together and are perfectly blended so as not to compete with each other. The mixed dressing actually compliments each other.

Now for the main, I went for my favorite Pork Marinara which is a linguine pasta with marinara sauce and a generous serving of sausage & minced pork. I personally think that the portion could be shared by two persons, after finishing the meal I feel so satisfactorily full.

The pasta is Al dente, this is my preference as well. The marinara sauce has enough acidity to it to balance the generous amount sausage & minced pork. If I'm to describe the sausage, the skin is has a bit of crunchyness to it while the inside is still tender & moist. The mince pork however is a bit dry but still acceptable & tasty.

Let me give you a quick tour of the restaurant interior, inside is compact and can only accommodate about 30-35 people while the outside dining area can accommodate about 20-25 people. The interior space is small and so the tables & chairs are the sleek type of design, it isn't a fine dine style but still comfortable enough for a chat.

So that's about it. It's a simple but satisfactorily dinner and affordable as well.
