Yesterday there was a heavy rain, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to go for a walk. Too bad, because that was a good opportunity to take some nice raindrop photos. I always enjoy capturing the garden after the rain because everything looks fresh, calm, and full of life.
The good thing is that I have plenty of photos saved on my phone that I can share. I guess this is one of the advantages of taking many photos whenever there is an opportunity. A moment may already be gone, but the photo remains. It gives us a chance to appreciate that scene again, even on a different day.
These black-and-white photos show the raindrops resting on the leaves and petals. I really like how the droplets look like tiny glass beads scattered across the surface. Some are small, some are large, but each one adds something beautiful to the image. The dark background also helps bring out the shine and shape of the water.
In photography, timing is important. Sometimes we are there at the right moment, and sometimes we miss it. But that is also part of the experience. What matters is that we continue to notice these small chances when they come.
For me, rain may not always be convenient, but it leaves behind something beautiful. The garden becomes refreshed, the air feels cooler, and the leaves look more alive.
I’m glad I was able to capture these photos before, and I’m happy to share them today. They remind me to keep appreciating the little things, even after the moment has passed.
Have a good day ahead.
