It's without a doubt that a Teochew-style mix veggie food place is one of my favorite spots to go to whenever I'm starving. The obvious reason for this is the generosity of serving and the affordability of the prices. Although the price has increased, it's still considered the best value for money whether it's located in a hawker center or a restaurant place.

There is a Teochew-style restaurant in the Bugis area that I would consider my go-to place because of the quality of the dishes that are being served here. The place is situated along North Bridge Road. The nearest MRT station would be Nicholl Highway and the Lavender station.

There's a nice vibe around this area. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the area too. I noticed that this area is quite popular for foodies. There are queues in many of the restaurants and this includes Heng Long Teochew Porridge Rice where I eaten a while ago.

I enjoy the ordering style where the food were all pre-cooked and are served on large dishes like these.

It's like a buffet feast and all I need to do is point to the dish that I wanted to be of my food. I picked 3 dishes which gave me a hard time finishing all of it. That's how generous the serving is. I got braised chicken in soy sauce, sauteed broccoli with garlic, and scrambled egg that was cut in a pizza shape.

The braised chicken is nice, the broccoli was perfectly cooked and it was seasoned well. While enjoy these two dishes, the one that I would say is my favorite is the scrambled egg. There's a unique taste in the scrambled that has a hint of salted egg, I liked it!

My journey to the world of food.
