A Bridge to the Past

The day melts away like a snowflake

The night seemed to sound only of water

The sorrows remained dancing in my mind

I took the bridge to the past

The wind carried the sound of my cries

As I reached the the castle of memories

Looking around I saw the paths leading to;

The memories, regrets, dreams and betrayal

I entered the halls of memories ; We once had

Looking around the pictures of You and me

Holding hands and walking along the seashore

Crying and laughing together

I went further, to find myself drowning

I saw you, leaving me all alone

Making me feel so lonely

Making me suffer alone

Tears streamed down my face

As I entered the room of regrets

Where I questioned myself

Why did you love him?

My feet felt numb

I couldn’t walk anymore

To find myself in the room of

Hate, betrayal and regrets.
