भारत एक कृषि प्रधान देश होने के बावजूद भी यहां के किसानों की हालत अतिदयनिय है ,इसका कारण है सरकार की इनके प्रति बेरुखी, सरकार अगर इन्हें इनके मेहनत के बदले धान का उचित मूल्य दिलवाती हो और इनके आपात स्थिति में इनके कर्ज माफी करती हो तो इनका बचाब भी हो ,लेकि ठीक इसके विपरीत सरकार बड़े बड़े उद्योगपतियो के बड़े कर्जे चुप छाप भीतर ही माफ करदिये जाते है और इनकी मांग या इनके आंदोलन को सुनने वाला भी कोई नही होता है फिर या तो इन्हें पुलिस द्वारा मारा पीटा जाता है या गोलिया चलायी जाती है, विगत इन 5 वर्षों में सबसे ज्यादा किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है अपने आर्थिक हालात से दुखी होकर , दुख इस बात का है कि किसान को मेरे इस देश मे 'अन्नदाता,कहते है लेकिन उसी अन्नदाता की ये स्थति कर दी है इन सत्ताधारियो की दमनकारी नीतियों ने, इस देश मे ऐसा पहली बार हुआ है कि किसानों को अपने खेत में पड़ी घास यानी पराली जलाने से भी रोक जा रहा है वो भी जबरन ओर उसे अपराध की श्रेणी में लिया जा रहा है ,पर पराली जलने से जो बचता है वो खेती के लिए खाद से कम नही होता है,कोई इन जमीन से जुड़े लोगों के बारे में भी सोचे ।
